About Us

So much has been said about change the past year. Very few of our clients join us to stay the same. Adopting new behaviors and rituals is the hardest thing to do, which is why most New Year's resolutions fail.

History

With-U, a division of outdoor training company Rough-Fit Inc. was launched in 2007 by a team of fitness professionals and wellness educators with a belief in the connection between individual fitness and healthy communities.

Since its founding in 2002, Rough-Fit has helped create healthier communities by organizing and supporting local wellness events and forging relationships with businesses and government agencies to support regional parks and youth programs. These positive community-building experiences inspired us to create With-U.

With-U was built upon the foundation of science of what works for long lasting healthy living. Lindsey Coen-Fernandez was a lifelong avid athlete who got caught up in the milieu of the corporate world. After shedding nearly 30 lbs, Lindsey founded an outdoor fitness company to help others who struggle with their overall wellbeing.

The With-U methodology of coaching is based on the principals of goal setting and behavior modification through small changes that ultimately yield long term life altering results.

With the launch of With-U, we have combined our knowledge and skill as fitness educators with our experiences in helping build stronger business- and community-based organizations. The end result is a comprehensive automated wellness system designed to equip individuals with the tools to achieve improved wellness as part of healthy, balanced corporate and educational communities.

Tools and Methodologies

With-U provides a comprehensive automated wellness portal with goal setting tools and e-learning to help individuals reach their health and wellness objectives.

In conjunction with our online e-learnings which provide education and motivational support, we provide workshops.

Wellness Services

With-U offers a variety of services that can be customized easily to create an effective, transformative wellness promotion campaign for any educational or corporate community. With-U’s web-based platform enables efficient delivery of interactive wellness education, planning, tracking and motivation to education or corporate community members wherever they are located. Our proven web-based learning delivery systems allow individuals to study at their own pace, create personalized wellness plans and incorporate positive change into their lives.

Our Philosophy

There are no quick fixes. With-U provides an uncomplicated baby step approach that results in lasting change. From the community (group/team) driven discussion groups to the online library of exercise and education, the resources are at the users' fingertips.

Five Steps to a Healthier U With-U

Step One: Assess it!

  • With-U can provide assessment workshops or an online step by step video to perform a self assessment.
  • Users can upload before and after pictures and share their success with family, coworkers and friends.
  • Document results and see the graphs chart the progress.
  • Baseline your wellbeing – include mental and physical aspects of whole wellness.

Step Two: Map it!

Users determine their goals and engineer a plan to help them towards a desired outcome. With-U uses the program of POG's (Plan of Goals). POG's are designed to help individuals make changes day by day, week by week, month by month. Motivational e-mails with education and tips, graphs, charts and extensive reports provide live feedback of progress.

Motivation from coaches, peers, family and friends provides accountability and incentives for users to stay on track. Our circle of support program provides a platform for ongoing support via e-mail, optional phone support and in person coaching.

Step Five: Live it!

Our objective is to provide a solid foundation of education, application and assimilation so that health and wellness become a way of life rather than another attempt at a program that WORKED versus a program that still WORKS.
