Miles of Smiles is an activity based program which enables you to stay active during the summer months, to train for a race and to benefit a charity while you’re doing it.
- Sign up for Miles of Smiles in a team of 4-6 people.
- Select your pre-registered charity.
- Pick your training distance and level (5k / 10k / half marathon / full marathon – novice / intermediate / advanced).
- Follow your training program and assigned mileage and remember to log the miles that you run every week.
- Achieve 80% or more of your mileage goals (as a team) and your team stands a chance to win some cash for your charity.
Help your charity raise funds this summer and improve your fitness at the same time. Register your charity, get a team together and commit to exercise for 8 weeks!
When:
Register from now until July 10th.
How:
- Register your charity at info@withu.org.
- A representative will forward you an invitation to send out to all your charity members, friends, family co-workers that are interested in a fitness challenge.
- Get teams of 4-6 people to register and select your charity in the registration process.
- 25% of registration fees for all teams linked to your charity will be paid to your 501© 3.
- An additional 5% of total registrations fees will be distributed via an awards process and one of your charity teams could win even more for your cause.
- We will provide an list of charity options if you have not already identified a charity.
What is Miles of Smiles?
- An 8 week program based on accumulation of mileage training programs.
- Each individual will select a program based on their current level of fitness for example - 5k walking program, ½ marathon intermediate program.
- Follow the program each week and complete at least 80% of assigned miles in order to qualify to win more funds for your charity.
- Receive weekly newsletters filled with tips and guidance on how to stay healthy, feel good and look great this summer.
- Track your results real time and see how you compare with others in your team or overall how your team is doing.
- Participate in discussion groups and ask questions from highly qualified coaches and health promotion professionals.
